The Foundation has established several endowment funds to support programs benefiting students in Albert Lea Area Schools.  These endowment funds are invested with the Minnesota Community Foundation and will provide a  stable source of funding for these programs . . .

TIGER GENERAL FUND

This fund, which includes an endowment component, will provide for scholarships for graduates of ALHS and for grants to fund programs that will enrich the education of students, K- 12.  Teachers, principals, and administrators can apply for grants annually.  This fund will also provide for Foundation operations.

TIGER ALUMNI STUDENT ASSISTANCE FUND

This endowment provides funds for social workers, counselors, and principals to use to make it possible for children to more fully participate in school activities with their peers.  Aid is given with discretion to children in need.  It was started with a generous gift from an alumnus of ALHS and has been augmented by giving from many other individuals, businesses, and organizations.

TIGER SCHOLASTIC ACHIEVEMENT FUND

A fund to establish and support programs in the Middle and High Schools to provide help and incentives to students who are not achieving grade level results in

their school work.  The students and parents are encouraged to partner with teachers to succeed as required to graduate.  This fund was also started by a gift from an Alumnus of ALHS and has grown with giving by others in the community.

DALE DANIELSON BAND STUDENT FUND

This fund was established in the memory of a long time band director in the Albert Lea Area Schools and provides funds for scholarships to band students so they may attend band camps to encourage and improve their skills with their chosen instruments.  It was started by a gift from the family of Dale Danielson and has since grown with gifts from other generous donors.
